Meet The Clergy

Interim Pastor: The Reverend E. Suzanne Wille
Mother Suzanne, formerly our Associate Rector, has been called to act as Interim Pastor during our transition time as we seek the next Rector of Christ Church. Mother Suzanne began at Christ Church as an Assistant Priest, the first in the history of our church. She joined us as Deacon Suzanne on June 15, 2009 and was ordained priest by Bishop Roskam on December 9, 2009, the first ordination held at Christ Church.

During her time here, Mo. Suzanne has organized the addition of a Saturday evening worship service, instigated a new model for stewardship, designed and led adult faith formation, invigorated our All Saints’ observance with memorial decorations and ofrendas, and initiated the Warwick Career Transition Group and Foyer Groups for nearly 60 people.

Mo. Suzanne attended seminary at Berkeley Divinity School at Yale. In 2008 she spent part of the summer studying at an Anglican seminary in South Africa, where she focused on the role of the Anglican Church in post-apartheid South Africa, especially in racial reconciliation and HIV/AIDS work. Before seminary, she taught English in a Catholic high school for girls; was the Program Director of Catholic Schools Opposing Racism (COR), an award-winning, faith-based anti-racism program providing curricula and training to faculty and students of the entire Chicago Catholic school system; and was deeply involved in her sponsoring church All Saints, Chicago, focusing especially on coordinating the adult formation program and volunteering at the thriving food pantry and community kitchen.

Mo. Suzanne enjoys reading novels (often 20th century and British), watching BBC mysteries while knitting (usually socks since they're fast), sharing laughs with her partner Tracey, and exploring the village.

Mo. Suzanne graduated from Randolph-Macon Woman's College with a BA in English and from Indiana University with a MA in English. She most recently graduated from Berkeley Divinity School at Yale with a Master of Divinity and a diploma in Anglican Studies. She is trained in Interim Ministry and in Community Organizing.
